Tibero Becomes the First Korean DBMS Listed in AWS Solutions Library, Proving Global Technological Excellence
- Recognized as a validated and reliable DBMS solution on AWS
- Selected for its high-availability failover and recovery management capabilities
TmaxTibero, a leading database management system (DBMS) provider, announced that its DBMS product, Tibero, has been officially listed in the AWS Solutions Library by Amazon Web Services (AWS), making it the only DBMS from Korea to be featured.
The AWS Solutions Library is an online catalog that consolidates proven AWS-based solutions and architectural guidelines. It selectively features technically robust and reliable solutions from the AWS Marketplace, ensuring customers have access to validated cloud-ready technologies.
Tibero has been recognized under the “AWS Solutions Library for Database” category as a “High-Availability Failover and Recovery Management Solution.” As a 100% Oracle-compatible DBMS, Tibero is gaining attention as an optimal alternative for Oracle customers seeking a seamless transition to the cloud.
A key factor behind this recognition is Tibero Active Cluster (TAC), the DBMS’s core technology. TAC delivers a high-availability clustering system equivalent to Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) while achieving 99% availability in AWS cloud environments, reinforcing its industry-leading reliability.
Hee-Sang Lee, CEO of TmaxTibero, stated, “Being listed in the AWS Solutions Library is a testament to Tibero’s global technological excellence and competitiveness. This milestone will play a crucial role in expanding our footprint in the global cloud market beyond Korea.” He added, “We remain committed to continuous innovation and delivering the best database solutions to customers worldwide.”
TmaxTibero is also strengthening its strategic collaboration with AWS to further penetrate the global market. As an AWS ISV Accelerate Partner and AWS Public Sector Partner, the company is actively expanding its AWS-based cloud services and marketing initiatives.
