The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) is the oldest, non-profit private university located in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1940 by the Thai Chamber of Commerce, UTCC plays a leading role in business administration curriculum within the country.

UTCC has traditionally provided IT systems and educational services through its own private server infrastructure. However, to promote “Digital University 4.0,” the university has embarked on a digital transformation of its internal infrastructure. As part of this initiative, UTCC has adopted public cloud solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while maximizing the use of its existing on-premise infrastructure.

UTCC Tibero

The success of UTCC’s cloud-based educational system project was through combining the expertise of major ICT solutions. Tibero, capable of running flexibly in both on-premise and cloud environments, was deployed in an IaaS-based enterprise cloud, allowing the virtualization of functions like CPU, RAM, storage, and firewalls.

To ensure uninterrupted operation of the academic system, Tibero’s TAC (Tibero Active Cluster) and TSC (Tibero Standby Cluster) were implemented to facilitate easy user experience.
